Objective: Fabricate composite flight components to support a new higher-thrust solid engine configuration
The Problem / Challenge
Ensuring flight vehicle airframes could withstand the increased loads of more powerful propulsion systems.
Technical Process & Actions
- Phase 1: Conducted preliminary structural analysis of components using Ansys.
- Phase 2: Not as an analysis engineer, but as part of the composite team, executed wet layup testing for fins and nozzle layups to ensure composite integrity.
