Project Overview
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Timeline: October 2025 - December 2025 (10 weeks contract)
Objective: To deliver high-quality STEM education through specialized curricula in programming and applied sciences for K-12 students.
The Challenge
The primary challenge involves "translating" complex technical principles—ranging from computer logic to aerodynamic lift—into engaging, age-appropriate modules that maintain scientific rigor while fostering genuine curiosity.
Curriculum & Instruction
I led two distinct courses designed to build fundamental technical literacy:
- Python Programming: Instructing students at the age of third to fifth grade on python starting from block coding to iterative systems.
- Applied Sciences: Developing and teaching modules for students at the age of first to third grade on diverse topics ranging from sustainable energy, human biology, to aeronautics.
Values & Learning
This role has refined my Technical Communication skills. As an engineer, the ability to explain how a system works to a non-technical audience is vital for securing stakeholder buy-in and managing multidisciplinary projects.
Key Takeaway: Education is the first step in engineering—to solve global sustainability or space exploration issues, we must first build the intellectual infrastructure to support those solutions.
