Project Overview
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Timeline: [October 2025 - December 2025 (10 weeks contract)]
Objective: To deliver high-quality STEM education through specialized curricula in programming and applied sciences for K-12 students.
The Challenge
The primary challenge involves "translating" complex technical principles—ranging from computer logic to aerodynamic lift—into engaging, age-appropriate modules that maintain scientific rigor while fostering genuine curiosity.
Curriculum & Instruction
I currently lead two distinct courses designed to build fundamental technical literacy:
- Python Programming: Instructing students on the fundamentals of coding, including data structures, logic gates, and functional programming applications.
- Applied Sciences: Developing and teaching modules on diverse topics including:
- Sustainable Energy: Exploring solar, wind, and organic energy systems.
- Aeronautics & Drones: Explaining the physics of flight and remote-piloted vehicle mechanics.
- Human Biology: Investigating biological systems and their relationship to environmental stressors.
Values & Learning
This role has refined my Technical Communication skills. As an engineer, the ability to explain how a system works to a non-technical audience is vital for securing stakeholder buy-in and managing multidisciplinary projects.
Key Takeaway: Education is the first step in engineering—to solve global sustainability or space exploration issues, we must first build the intellectual infrastructure to support those solutions.
