Refining Purposes : Finding the purpose of the mission.
There is a quiet joy in escaping the city to find a moment of solitude. I grew up in developed, bustling regions—places I loved, yet where the 'excess' of light often drowned out the night sky. While out on a Doordash run recently, I found myself in the small town of Aurora, Oregon. I’ve always made a habit of looking up when the weather is clear, but I realized I hadn't seen the Big Dipper clearly since the 8th grade, back when I was volunteering at the Kokuryo Observatory in South Korea. Seeing those stars again reminded me why I’ve dedicated my life to studying the cosmos. Among the many distractions of daily life, that view helped me realize I hadn’t given myself the space to truly think about who I am. This page serves as a snapshot of my identity and my desires as of January 2026.
